This achievement speaks to our financial strength, dedication of our employees and the trust our policyholders and agent partners place in us every day. As Texas’ leading provider of workers' compensation insurance, we’re committed to being here for hardworking Texans today and for years to come.

How Ward’s 50 companies are selected

Ward Group is the insurance industry’s trusted leader in benchmarking and best practices, and their selection process is rigorous. Companies are analyzed over a five-year period (2021-2025) and must meet strict criteria, including:

  • Maintaining a minimum of $50 million in both surplus and premiums annually
  • Demonstrating profitability in at least four of the last five years
  • Achieving compound annual premium growth between -10% and 40%

Additionally, Ward Group evaluates each company's performance and financial stability, ensuring they possess the potential for sustained growth while maintaining strong capital positions and underwriting results.

Our commitment to Texas

This recognition reinforces our dedication to being a reliable partner for Texas businesses and a dependable support system for employees who rely on us. As we celebrate this milestone, we remain focused on our mission to provide exceptional coverage. Taking care of Texans is at the heart of everything we do and we’re grateful for the trust our policyholders and agent partners place in us by choosing Texas Mutual for their workers' compensation needs.
